Karunandaji was prompted to begin writing by a trance-like mystical experience in 2004. Most of the early writings were done during that year. After a 6-year gap, writing resumed in 2010 and continued until 2014. These were the middle writings. The late writings began after 2014 and continue today.
Karunandaji says: “There has been an evolution in my mind from the early writings to the middle writings, and again from the middle writings to the late writings. Today I would not be able to write the early or middle writings as I wrote them. This does not mean that they are wrong or untruthful,–only that truth itself evolves as one’s mind changes and is able to penetrate deeper into the mysteries. Just as I would not pretend to have grasped ‘absolute truth’ today, I would not say that my earlier observations were falsified by what I apprehended later. Truth is truth in the sense that it does not violate itself, but with time it has come to be refracted differently through the lens of my mind’s apprehension. Some persons might resonate more deeply with the early or middle writings than with the later ones, so I will eventually include them all. These days my mind obviously perceives what is expressed in the late writings more clearly than what was written before. Hence, what I offer is the evolution of one person’s and one mind’s awakening and nothing more.”
Karunandaji makes these writings freely available with the intention that they might aid some people in attaining greater mindfulness of their place and purpose on earth, and especially that they might be helped in realizing greater compassion for themselves and for others.
